The two-day Asia Open Access Conference is going to be held in Dhaka. The conference is being held regularly in several countries around the world, including Asia, in collaboration with the Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR). The Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) organized this conference in Bangladesh this year. The conference will be held at the central auditorium of BARC in Dhaka on March 6-8.
The conference will be attended by researchers from 4 countries around the world, including academics, working on open access. There are multiple seminars, workshops, roundtable meetings etc. The conference will focus on various topics such as open access, open data, open science, open education and open licenses.
Conference Coordinator and BARC Chief Documentation Officer Dr. on various issues of the conference. Sushmita Das said, “This conference is held every year internationally. This time we have organized in Bangladesh. Such activities will be highlighted at various conferences in Bangladesh, including the overall conditions of open access, open science, open education in Asia. ”
The Center for Open Knowledge (COK) is assisting in organizing the COAR support conference. Working with Open Data, Open Education, Open Science, Open License in Bangladesh, COK President Dr. Mostafa Azad Kamal said, “We have been working in Bangladesh for a long time through open channels. At this conference, we are assisting in raising these issues and organizing them. ”
Hundreds of participants from different universities, including research centers, will attend the conference.
