World famous search engine Google remembers Shamsur Rahman's 7th birthday with a special doodle by renowned poet, journalist and columnist. Shamsur Rahman was born on October 28, 1920. Google has paid special tribute to the day with a special doodle.
On Tuesday (October 25th), a special doodle is visible when you go to Google (www.google.com) through the Internet from Bangladesh or directly to the address www.google.com.bd. It appears that poet Shamsur Rahman, who is wearing a Punjabi green with his hands on his cheek, is writing a poem. His long hair is flying in the air.
Google creates custom logos on their homepage to commemorate special days and to honor prominent people. This is what is called a doodle. This is organized in the main page of the Google search.
Earlier, doodles were published on several important days, including Humayun Ahmed, Bangladesh Independence Day, the birth of renowned architect FR Khan.
The poet received the Ekushey Padak, the Bangla Academy Award. He died on August 7, 20.
