Some may remember the dream. Even if someone remembers dreaming, what he saw was no longer in his head. Scientists, of course, have an explanation for this. They say some people cannot remember the contents of dreams. The reason for this is hidden in their sleep patterns and in the action of certain chemicals in the body.

Indian media NDTV reports that when we sleep, our brain goes through four different mental states. The final stage is called Rapid Eye Movement or REM. During this phase, a person's eyelids rapidly tremble during sleep. At this time the heart rate slows down and the human body goes into a state called atonia. At this time the human body goes inactive and various organs cannot be moved.




Under these circumstances, two chemicals in the human brain play an important role in dreaming. These are - acetylcholine and norepinephrine. As acetylcholine production increases, the activity of the brain increases. Acetylcholine regulates how clear the contents of a dream will be to one. Again, norepinephrine determines levels of alertness and stress. As acetylcholine production increases, norepinephrine levels decrease. As norepinephrine decreases, our ability to remember dreams also decreases.

When we fall asleep or wake up with the sound of an alarm, the amount of these two chemicals increases slightly. This reduces the brain's chances of remembering dreams. Many times our brains do not remember dreams that are not exciting enough.

"When we first wake up, dreams are very fragile," Robert Stickgold, a sleeper researcher at Harvard Medical School, told the BBC. The exact cause of this situation is not yet known. If someone jumps and starts the day's work, it will not be possible for him to remember his dream. Holiday tranquility is the best way to remember a dream.
