Three astronauts returned to Earth safely after spending four months at the International Space Center (ISS). Russia's Mission Control confirmed the news.
Among the innovators are Kate Rubins of the United States, Anatoly Ivanissin of Russia's Rascoms and Takuya Onishi of the Japan Space Exploration Agency.
The three were on a 5-day mission to the orbital laboratory. A flight carrying them landed in the city of Jekgan, southeast of Kazakhstan, in the snow on Sunday.
The mission is to conduct research on the effects of virus and bacterial DNA in space on mice. NASA says the study will contribute to the diagnosis of space sickness.
