Mobile phone has been launched. New call rates have started from August 1. According to the new call rate, mobile operators will not be able to set a call rate below 5 p.m. This collateral can be up to a maximum of 2 taka. Meanwhile, the regulatory body BTRC has sent instructions to all mobile phone operators in the country. The operators have also informed the users about the operation of the instruction.
1 paise is the new collateral floor price (unified floor price). This means that no mobile number can be called at the reduced rate. However, mobile phone operators will be able to offer new collateral customers by adjusting their preferred rate. The maximum limit for collateral will be Rs 2, which was earlier. No operator can charge more than 2 rupees per minute from the customer.

Contextually, there are two types of collateral operating in the country, Onnet and Offnet. Onet is the method of calling (talking) on the same mobile network and the offnet call is calling from one network to another. In the new rules, the onrate and offnet collate methods are no longer available.
Due to the introduction of the new collateral, the cost of the call did not increase or there was a lot of talk. Customers have complained on social media that the cost of calls has increased. Mobile phone operators, on the other hand, say the cost has actually dropped. With the launch of mobile number portability (MNP), customers will be able to talk on mobile at a lower cost than now.
According to operators, customers will benefit if the new rules go into effect. It is reported that the minimum limit of Onet call is 25 paise, but the average cost of the customers is 1-4 paise. And for other operators (offset) the minimum limit for calls is 5 paise, but the customer costs from 1 paise to 5 paise. The cost of a call will increase by 5 paise in the same operator due to the introduction of a new callrate, but the cost of a call will be reduced by 5 paise per other operator. The operators feel that the smaller number of operators will get the benefit of the customers.
Prior to the introduction of mobile number portability (MNP), it was the obligation of all mobile collaterals to change the operator by changing the specified number. It is reported that MNP will be launched very soon.
